Hi, we’re Greg and Leah!
We appreciate you taking the time to get to know us a little better. The decision you’re considering shows your strength, and we want you to know we recognize that. We hope we can help you learn about us, our lives, how we love each other, and the family we hope to build.
We are both 41 years old and live in Warren, Michigan. We have one pet, Vincent Mayonnaise, aka Vinny Mayo. Vinny is a certified silly goose. He is playful, energetic, curious, and loves kids and giving kisses.
Greg is a self-proclaimed geek (and Leah agrees). He loves gaming with friends, collecting vinyl records, and leading his Dungeons and Dragons group. Leah is a thrifting queen and shows people she loves them by cooking for them. You will NEVER leave our house hungry. Leah won’t allow it!
Greg works as a Structural Design Lead and Leah is a Marketing Director for a nonprofit in Detroit that teaches kids how to read. (Vinny is unemployed.) We both work from home and have flexible schedules, so we will be present at every event, game, recital, or wherever else our future child wants us to be. We will cheer them on at every opportunity, even when they’re like 12 and think we are SO embarrassing.
We both have big families that love each other a lot! There are aunts, uncles, and 17+ cousins excited about welcoming a baby into the family. Our future child’s life will include birthday celebrations, annual family vacations with the cousins, trips up north to the lake, camping, picking out Christmas trees at Eastern Market, and much more!
Our friend group is diverse and fun! We love to host and have several parties a year to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and silly things like our annual Frolympic Games (Friend Olympics…the name just stuck…). Many of our friends have young kids, which means more cousins!
We live in a walkable neighborhood with lots of friendly neighbors and cute dogs. We have a park and 3 little libraries within a 5-minute walk. We take at least 2 walks a day with Vinny, which means our future child will get lots of outside time.
We are both creative, vibrant, and happy people who think childhood should be full of curiosity, fun, learning, and exploring. We’ve been trying to have a baby for 3 years and we are ready to open our home to a child and love, respect, and nurture them for their whole lives. We believe in gentle parenting and will help our future child learn and grow
with unconditional support and love. There is nothing our child could ever do that would cause our love to falter.
