Hi! We’re Melissa, Mike, Brynlee & Otto.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
We can only imagine the strength it takes to consider adoption, and we want you to
know how much we respect your courage and care. If you’re reading this, please know
we’re holding space for your story, your emotions, and your hopes for your child.
We became parents through adoption in January 2024 when we welcomed our
daughter, Brynlee, into our hearts and home. She is full of personality – sweet, curious,
playful – and becoming her parents has been the greatest joy of our lives. Our
relationship with her birth mom is one of mutual respect, compassion, and admiration.
She will always be an important part of our family, and we’re committed to honoring that
bond as Brynlee grows.
Adoption has always been part of how we imagined growing our family. We believe love,
not biology, is what makes a family – and the connection we’ve built through our
adoption journey thus far has only deepened that belief. We’re now hoping to grow our
family again and give Brynlee the joy of a sibling to grow up with. We picture laughter-
filled days, bedtime stories together and a sibling bond that lasts a lifetime. We also
know that every child is unique, and we promise to honor your child’s individuality and
their adoption story with the respect and care it deserves.
We met in college and have been together for over a decade, and married since 2018.
Our relationship is built on deep love, friendship, trust, and shared laughter. We live in a
warm and family-focused community with great schools, parks, and a home that has
plenty of space for play and imagination. Our neighborhood is full of young families, and
we’ve created a home filled with love, creativity, and a little bit of chaos (the fun kind!).
Our dog Otto is a beloved part of the family – gentle, patient, and great with Brynlee.
We also have a fish tank that has become a source of fun and wonder for everyone.
Our families live nearby and are actively involved in our lives. Brynlee is surrounded by
doting grandparents, cousins and a loving village that is ready to embrace another child
with open arms.
If you choose us, we promise to love your child unconditionally, support them as they
grow, and create a home where they feel safe, valued, and deeply known. We’re open
to whatever level of contact you feel most comfortable with – whether that’s regular
updates, occasional communication, or a more private connection. And we’ll always
speak of you with kindness and gratitude, and your child will grow up knowing how
deeply they are loved – by us, and by you.
