We hope that by sharing a bit about our lives, you’ll see the love, stability, and joy we’re ready to offer a child — and, if you’re open to it, the space we’re ready to offer you in our lives as well.
We met 15 years ago in college at the University of Michigan and started as best friends. We ate nearly every meal together in the dining hall and studied side by side. Our relationship grew naturally from that foundation of friendship, and over the years, we’ve built a life full of love, laughter, and partnership.
Today we live in a small, welcoming town in Michigan in a historic home we’ve restored ourselves — a labor of love that reflects who we are. Brendan is the creative visionary; Robert is the hands-on builder. Together, we’ve turned our house into a warm and welcoming home with a big backyard for playing, gardening, and summer bonfires.
Brendan works from home in dental insurance and loves museums, growing giant flowers, and trying new recipes from America’s Test Kitchen. He’s energetic, kind, and always finds the fun in everyday moments. Robert is an engineering manager who enjoys hiking, baking sourdough, visiting zoos, and creating the best Christmas light displays. He’s calm, thoughtful, and has a quiet strength that shows in how he supports those around him.
Our community is quiet, safe, and family-oriented. We live within walking distance of excellent schools, a local park, and a charming downtown where we often go for dinner or take walks with our dog, Penny. She’s a sweet Shih Tzu who loves kids and will happily tag along on walks or cuddle up for storytime.
We come from close-knit families who are excited to welcome a new child with open arms. Weekends at the lake, holiday baking days, and annual trips to the Florida Keys are just a few of the traditions we’re excited to pass down — while also embracing and celebrating the unique heritage and story of the child we welcome into our family.
We are committed to raising a child in a home where they feel deeply loved, supported, and celebrated for who they are. We will encourage them to explore their interests and grow into exactly who they’re meant to be. If you are open to it, we would also welcome the opportunity to build a lasting, respectful relationship through open adoption.
