Hi, we’re Joe, Courtney, and Tallulah — and we are so glad you found us here!
We are a family from the suburbs of Detroit who is hoping to grow by one more, and Morning Star Adoptions is helping us find the missing piece of our puzzle. We met online in 2014, got married in northern Michigan in 2017, and welcomed our daughter Tallulah — our sweet Tula — through adoption in April 2023. That day changed our lives forever, and we have never looked back.
Our days are filled with dance parties, art projects, trips to the zoo, and adventures at the park with our Goldendoodle, Toby. We live in our dream home with a big backyard, a warm and inviting space for family dinners, and plenty of room to welcome another child. Tula is funny, smart, loving, and absolutely ready to be a big sister.
Courtney has a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and has spent her career caring for and supporting young children. Joe spent the first two and a half years of Tula’s life as a stay-at-home dad and cherishes every moment of that time. He now works in operations at a wealth management firm. Tula attends a local preschool program part time and spends other days with her grandma while Courtney and Joe are working. We are blessed to be surrounded by loving grandparents, and a large extended family including aunts, uncles, and cousins who show up for us in every way.
