Kevin & Carrie

Hello, we are Carrie and Kevin!

Having an opportunity to open our hearts and home to a child is something we have envisioned for many years. We aim to provide a child a life filled with love, joy, exploration and a supportive environment where they can grow up as their authentic self. We understand that your decision may not be simple and we hope you have everything you need to make the one that is best for you and your child.

We met in Chicago in 2015, after just the first date, it was clear this was something special. Three years later we got married in Detroit, where Carrie is from, surrounded by loving family and friends. Our family includes Winnie, a 5 year old chocolate labradoodle. She is very playful yet gentle and friendly with children and babies. In 2021 we made the move from Chicago to Michigan to be closer to Carrie’s family and have a home our future family could grow into. The town we live in is full of friendly neighbors, parks, excellent schools, and a cute downtown with plenty of shops and restaurants.

Our favorite things to do are exploring nature, checking out local coffee shops and bakeries, hosting friends for game nights or potlucks, binging the latest Netflix show, and spending quality time with family.

When we’re away from home, we are either in West Michigan enjoying the beach or checking a new US National Park off our bucket list. Together, we’ve been to nine parks and hope to include a junior ranger to many more!

Carrie is kind, thoughtful, silly, and endearing. Carrie attended Grand Valley State University where she studied Public and Nonprofit Administration. She works remotely as a Program Manager. Carrie loves curling up with a good book by the fireplace, relaxing on the beach, and trying out new baking recipes to satisfy her sweet tooth. She loves to host and plan vacations which has led to building strong friendships and making new memories that we’ll cherish forever.

Kevin is kind, patient, and down-to-earth. He has a great sense of humor and is a big kid at heart. Kevin studied Graphic Communication and Photographic Journalism at Western Illinois University. He now works remotely as a Product Designer. Along with the rest of his family, Kevin is a lifelong Cubs fan. When not cheering on his favorite team, Kevin enjoys golfing and taking photos. His photography has turned the blank walls of our house into a home of printed memories of all our travels.

Thank you for your courage, strength, and love you have for your child.
