Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us. We are Nathan and Meredith Tobaben. We appreciate you taking the time to learn a little more about us and the family we look forward to creating.
We have been together for 18 years and are very excited about the opportunity to expand our family. We love time with our dogs and extended family. We have so much love to share and can’t wait to welcome a little one into our home to share all our love with.
We met in 2001 at Grand Valley State University in the marching band. We began dating in 2004 and have been together ever since. We were married in 2008. Growing our family has always been important to us and we are looking forward to doing this through adoption.
We believe in raising our family to be the best they are capable of being. We believe that everyone grows, changes, and learns at their own rate and we will use this philosophy to help us in our parenting. It is our hope to foster a positive, loving environment where we can raise happy and healthy kids who have the opportunity to learn and live their passion in life. We were both raised with very open communication and loving homes and hope to raise our children in the same way.
We have been blessed to own a home in West Michigan on 10 acres. We regularly see rabbits and deer from our back deck where we spend almost every evening in the summer. We have walking trails out to a creek in our back yard. Spending time outdoors and entertaining family are a few of our favorite things to do.
Meredith has been a classroom teacher for children with autism spectrum disorder for 12 years. She is passionate about her job and seeks the best for her students. Nathan has a bachelor’s degree in design and Business and is currently pursuing a Masters in Lean Manufacturing. Nathan spent many years in the Graphic Design and Restaurant Industries. In the last 3 years he has moved to manufacturing. We hope to share the love we have for each other, our dogs, our families and our future children. We are excited to bring a child into our home and become parents.
