Hello!
We are Megan and Pratik. Thank you for taking a moment to get to know us and considering us as the adoptive family for your child. We can’t imagine what this experience might be like for you. But we know that your decision comes from your love for your child. We hope to add to that love if you choose us. We met in college and have been married for over 10 years. And what a whirlwind of a decade it has been! During that decade, we lived in several places pursuing education and career opportunities. We finally chose to settle in Michigan and grow our family here.
Megan grew up in Texas, and if you listen closely, you might catch a hint of her southern twang! She works as a nurse and is caring and compassionate. She takes great pride in providing her patients with the best care, treating each one with genuine compassion and a personal touch. Ever since she became a nurse, she has always sought opportunities to help underserved populations. That’s her true calling and brings her joy and fulfillment. Megan loves listening to podcasts, audiobooks, and 90s music. Pratik grew up in India. He is a finance professor at a local university. He is a funny, goofy man who often tells you a few eye-roll-worthy dad jokes. His students love his
animated lectures. He is also driven and fiercely protective of his family and friends. Pratik loves football (and pretty much any sport) and is a big fantasy football nerd.
After multiple fertility treatments, our son Kieran was born in December 2022, bringing us so much joy. Kieran is a firecracker of a toddler! He is friendly, energetic, and loves to laugh and play. Even at a year old, he loved playing with other kids. He likes
animals, books, and nursery rhymes. His sweetness and compassion are already showing traits that will make him an amazing big brother!
As a family, we enjoy any activity that gets us outdoors. On weekends, it’s rare for us not to be at a park, lake, or nature trail. We also love traveling, and when in new places, we often go off the beaten path to discover hidden gems and immerse ourselves in local cultures. When at home, grilling, board games, and movie nights are our favorite activities.
As parents, our role is to nurture our children and help them achieve their dreams. We promise a loving, supportive home where your child can thrive, with the encouragement and resources they need. We’ll always be open to your input and respect your comfort
level as we navigate this journey.
