Hello! We’re Joshua and Spencer, and we’re so grateful you’ve taken the time to visit our page and get to know us a little better. Our story began with a first date that effortlessly stretched on for hours—one of those rare moments where everything just felt right. It didn’t take long for us to realize we had found not only our partners, but our best friends, and we were married just a few years later.
Josh works from home and has built his career in corporate risk management since graduating from college. He has a deep love for music and enjoys collecting vinyl records, so there’s almost always something playing in the background. When he’s not listening to music, you’ll likely find him reading or caring for his ever-growing collection of houseplants.
Spencer is a licensed architect and project manager, focused on large-scale commercial construction. He enjoys tackling home improvement projects and spending time out on his bike. He’s also a firm believer in the power of a good nap and rarely turns down dessert.
Living in Michigan, we truly embrace all four seasons. We love traveling throughout the state – wandering farmers markets, browsing charming shops and antique stores, and soaking in local festivals. In the summer, our travel trailer becomes our home away from home as we camp with family and friends, spend long days at the beach, and end each evening in search of the perfect s’more.
At home, we enjoy exploring local museums, taking evening walks, trying new restaurants, and hosting game nights with friends and family. We feel incredibly lucky to live in a historic neighborhood full of character and life. While the homes carry a rich history, the community itself is vibrant and filled with young families, with children often playing outside together. It’s a close-knit area with excellent schools, beautiful lakeside parks, and welcoming neighbors. We also share our home with our loving cat, Lily, who can usually be found sunbathing by a window or curled up in our laps. Just a few blocks away, we have easy access to local parks and a lively downtown full of charm.
Family means everything to us. We’re fortunate to have large, close-knit families on both sides, including nephews and a niece we absolutely adore, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. While hosting can be a joyful whirlwind, we truly love opening our home for holidays and celebrations. Whether it’s birthdays, the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, or Christmas, we’re always happiest when surrounded by the people we love.
From the very beginning of our conversations about becoming parents, we both felt strongly that adoption was the path meant for us. More than anything, we hope to provide a safe, loving, and supportive home for a child. If you choose us, your baby will be welcomed into a life filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
Thank you again for taking the time to read our story—we’re truly grateful.”
