Hello! We are Quinn and Alex, and we are so excited that you’re reading about our family.
We first met in late 2020 during the pandemic. With not much to do outside the house, our first date involved watching old seasons of Survivor (still one of our favorites!) and decorating gingerbread houses. We were able to get to know each other quickly, and our relationship was clearly different from the start. Quinn proposed in 2022 at a housewarming party that was secretly an engagement party. He was so nervous he tripped down the stairs on his way to get the ring—giving “falling in love” a whole new meaning! Since then, we have purchased a house, adopted our puppy, and spent time growing our love and building our home together.
We both grew up in small towns and learned the value of community early on. Quinn was blessed with a large, local family. His childhood was filled with playing sports, riding his bike, and summer camping. Alex grew up just a few miles away, also surrounded by family. When she wasn’t at dance class or playing soccer, she was often with her cousins. We feel incredibly fortunate to still have our families close by today in Lansing, all within a short drive. We learned very early that it takes a village, and we are committed to bringing that same mindset to raising a child. Our weekends are a mix of socializing with friends and family and relaxing at home. Our big backyard is truly the heart of our home, especially in the summer when we host cookouts for friends and family. Quinn manages the grill while Alex tends her garden. It’s a perfect, fenced-in space for our dog, Sadie, to play with our friends’ children. When we are home, Quinn is often tackling DIY projects while Alex works on her latest sewing project. We also love exploring our community by going to local events and trying new restaurants.
We truly hope you can feel the love in our home and our excitement to bring a child into it. It’s important to us that your child grows up knowing you are the first chapter of their story.
