We weren’t sure how to start writing this, but let’s give it a try! We haven’t met yet, but the fact that you are reading this gives us hope. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves. Even though we can’t include everything about us on this page, we hope this gives you an idea of who we are, and what life with us would look like for a child.
We met in 2017 and we both knew right away that this was something special. From our very first date, we just clicked. Over the past six years, we have been through so much together – marriage, career changes, buying our first home, welcoming more nephews, and our own struggle with infertility. Through all of this, we have grown stronger as a couple and in our Christian faith.
Kevin works as a senior purchasing manager in the automotive industry, and Kathleen is a marketing manager for a manufacturing company. Our careers offer a lot of flexibility, and in our free time we can be found hiking, playing music, volunteering at our church, or just relaxing on our patio at home. On Saturdays in the Fall, we love to cheer on the Eastern Michigan Eagles and the Michigan State Spartans. We also both love new adventures, traveling, road-trips, and camping. We enjoy having fun and making each other laugh.
Kevin is silly, adventurous, has a huge heart, and is always ready with a good dad joke. He is also a gifted musician and loves to share his talents. He is the lead saxophone player for our local community concert band and plays guitar and saxophone with our church band.
Kathleen is thoughtful, kind, witty, and has a contagious laugh. She’s always up for a new experience like going to see a new band, eating at a new restaurant, or trying out the newest recipe. She also loves hosting gatherings for family and friends at our home.
We live in a quiet suburb just north of Detroit. It is a diverse, vibrant, safe, and supportive community, with access to great schools and opportunities for our child to follow whatever their passions may be.
Together we have seven amazing nephews, a beautiful niece, and a great-nephew. We are close to our extended families. When we all get together, the house is always full of laughter. It is loud, crazy, and usually messy, but we love every minute of it.
We are very excited to have a child join our family, and we can’t wait to share our joys, our passions, our adventures, and our hearts with your child and with you, if you are open to that.
It is a special honor for us to be considered as you make your plans. Please remember that we are here for you as you begin this journey, and we would love to answer any questions that you may have for us.
We wish you all the best and hope to meet you soon.
