First and foremost, thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to introduce ourselves and tell you a little about our family. We are so grateful for the love that you have for your unborn child, that you are considering an adoption plan for him or her, and that you are considering us as a part of that future.
We are Joseph and Courtney, a fun-loving, wholesome, and caring couple. We’ve been together for nearly eight years, four of which we’ve been married. Our life together has been eventful but fulfilling, full of ups and downs that have only brought us closer together. These experiences have helped us to grow as a couple and have prepared us to welcome a child.
Joseph works for a real estate tech company as an agent support specialist. He enjoys his work and feels blessed to work remotely from home. In his free time Joe is a fan of college football, an avid reader and enjoys playing music. Joe is very musical, playing guitar and has worked as a DJ for weddings and other events.
Courtney’s background is in Early Childhood Education and has worked as a nanny, childcare teacher and Early Learning Director. Currently Courtney works in the Grants department at a large early education corporation as a Grants Program Specialist. Courtney also counts herself lucky to work from home and has a flexible work schedule that will allow time to balance work and family life, especially when caring for a young child. In her free time, Courtney enjoys baking, reading and interior design.
We live in a quiet suburb of Detroit with our two-year-old Golden Doodle puppy, Toby. Toby loves children and we’re excited for him to become a “big brother”. The community that we live in is welcoming and family oriented, full of festivals and events. It’s the same community where Courtney was raised, so it truly is home. We have family and friends that live locally and who we see often.
Family is incredibly important to us both, and we make it a point to see family often. Courtney comes from a large extended family with lots of aunts, uncles and cousins who now have their own children. Our future child already has dozens of cousins to create lasting friendships with and enjoy at each family gathering.
When we look ahead to our future, we see trips to Disney World with our children, family vacations on the beach of Lake Michigan, playing at the local park with cousins, attending Tigers games, touring the Zoo with grandparents, Sunday dinners with extended family, Christmas celebrations with family traditions and so many other opportunities to make memories and share in a life together.
We thank you for taking the time to read about us and hope that you allow us the opportunity to get to know you and understand your wishes for your child and their future. We appreciate your bravery and courageousness.
